Chantelle is a film maker who focuses on subjects of nature and spirituality. Within this realm, several films based on mental illness and spiritual recovery have been produced as a form of therapy and self realization. Holistic Vistion was created as a means to using film as therapy, and utilizing the creative process as a cathartic experience for the artist in need of closure. This project is still under major development and will soon lead up to the writing of a feature length film which focuses on specific cases of mental illness and spiritual revelations. Currently she is working on the film Coal Harbour. This film explores an abandoned whaling station which left traces of the past. It is a visual comment, an activist statement if you will, pointing a finger in the direction of the possibility of Canadian commercial whaling re-introduced into our society. Other current projects include multimedia development of image and sound with creative partner / audio producer John Tennant. Currently the two are creating motion graphics for the web with macromedia flash. To balance the bills and maintain physical and mental health, Chantelle cares for animals in her community while working as an independent freelance designer and documentary / experimental film maker. to see more visit motion media |
